Question: In the same room, would placing subwoofer in a different location from the soundbar create a better surround sound experience?
Answer: it probably will not. Subwoofer placement in the front of the room is the most common and usually results in the best blending with the main speakers and center channel and minimizes localization effects. Bass is omni-directional. You would want it at least with one of the main speakers.

Answer: Yes,it comes with a remote,bass and treble can be adjusted through the remote control.
Question: Will this work with 220 input voltage?
Answer: Yes, the AC-DC adapter can be used 110-240 voltage.
Question: Is it compatible with tcl smart tvs?
Answer: If Smart TV mean streaming video services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Apple+ … then yes. Anything that is producing sound from your TV will come through the soundbar.
